i cant believe that GW approved this msg, but he did :rolleyes:

dragging up the imagery of the lacy peterson saga



i guess thats what he thinks is on the pea brain of the avg patriot. :rolleyes:

I beleive something like 11 out of his last 15 campaign commercials he has aired have been negative. It may be backfiring on him. This one is really grotesque. They are going Willie Horton early.

Both sides have buckets of money they have to spend before the conventions, with the GOP having the extra month. It's going to get pretty crowded on the airwaves . . . except in Alaska and Hawaii.

who is laci peterson? just another murder victim right? over 15,000 people are murdered annually in the US. Why not cry over them? It's all static...

Oh, I don't see the bush 04 commemerating the 1000th soldier death in Iraq.

Good question...I wish someone would explain it to the media.

At least around here, they're treating the Peterson case like they treated the OJ case 10 years ago.

The Laci Peterson story became a television show, just as did the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Pretty much, our elections have become TV shows as well. November 2, we vote to see whose show will be picked up--or cancelled.

And so one TV show--the Republican presidential campaign--has
decided to merge the Laci Peterson Show with their show--making the new show sort of a spin-off. They are also taking clips from the 9/11 disaster and using them, shamelessly, to help promote their show. Laci Peterson fits nicely because of the murdered fetus angle, which has broad appeal to the Christian fundamentalist right.

And that's showbiz.

...uh, who's Laci Peterson?

Actually, I see it working with the Religious Right, becuase they are so fed up with the other news sources that they watch Fox like I do. I personally change the channel when the talk about it, because they go on and on and on and on about it. The RR's "agenda" and "beliefs" aren't supported by sKerry and Dubbya wants the RR to know about it.

Did you ever notice Fox throws it up there big time when the news is bad for Bush? That's why its up there all the time.

How was Lacy Peterson incorporated into the ad? Just curious.

John Kerry is accused of voting against protecting pregnant women. The bill he voted against was an attempt by pro-lifers to have a fetus classified as a human, thereby making abortion providers murderers. They named it the "Laci Peterson Law". It was defeated. THe whole thing was a setup on Kerry.
