36.5 mpg with a W 124...

I kind of like the car. We got a W 124 200D with four speed stick and had to travel from Stuttgart to Berlin with a small trailer in tow.

The mileage we got was 36.5 mpg of Diesel fuel. I wonder, why they never sold that car to the US...

Kind regards
Eberhard

I had a 1991 300D 2.5 which had the 2.5 602.962 motor. I got about 35-40 mpg on the highway consistently.

We got about 37 USMPG in our now-sold 98 E300 turbo, in a car that could unrun the gasoline E320.

Too bad it was a lemon.
