Amen to that!

Dad's first cousin started Food Town. I was going to go over his story (8th grade dropout, ect....), but don't see the need.

I cleverly made all the greatest blunders before I met her. Then I met her and found in her a woman of patience, kindness and forbearance. The jigsaw segment I didn't even know that I was missing, found.

I saw all the bad signs and still married her - must be a glutton for punishment. I'll swear I thought she would eventually get over throwing temper tantrums (when she does not get her way) as she aged but it has only gotten worse over the years. Shoulda left the first time she pointed the gun at me and told me to get my s*^& and get out:(. My bad but you can bet that the next time it happens I'm outa there.

If you looked up "bad marriage" in the dictionary you would see a pic of me and the wife:).

Man! I'm glad I'm not in the dating scene nowadays if it's that difficult.
I'm with 84300DT. 25 years of marriage, and we've become more alike than we ever were when we got married. Trying to find that "perfect" match is silly. Maybe 1 out of a hundred couples manage to do that, if that many. Biggest stumbling block in a relationship is selfishness. If one or both have too much self-centeredness, it's gonna be tough. I was the one with that problem 25 years ago. But I married a very giving, patient gal, and she's been the biggest influence in my life. I've learned I don't have to always be right (and that I'm not;) ). Nothing worse than a fat head in a relationship.

Yikes! The NEXT time it happens, you might be outta there...in a body bag!

Hope you're kidding!

I'm not kidding but I did get rid of all the guns in the house. Thankfully it as a 9mm Glock and she did not know how to chamber a round.

Good thing you're not in Massachusetts. It's not illegal for women to shoot their husbands here. However, it is illegal for men to even look at women sideways. Be careful and get out now! She'll shoot you and then claim that you abused her and get off.

So you feel it's worth it to stay in this precarious relationship because...

Explosive anger like that is usually rooted in untreated depression. Get her on the Prozac, she might turn into a pussy cat.

kv - I think you hit the nail on the head. I see signs of depression in her and have mentioned it to her and she says that she is fine - it is everybody else that is screwed up.

Jennifer - sorry for taking your thread so far off course.

KirkVining 07-15-2004 04:12 PM

It's biological in nature. Her little neurons don't firre in the ight order. People tht suffer from it either use drugs, drink, or explosive anger to essentially "treat" themselves, or all of the above. Depression literlly turns into anger as part of a bio-chemical process. Sooner or later, she'll kill you.

engatwork 07-15-2004 04:16 PM

G-Benz - you mean all relationships are not like this:eek:?

KV - I thought the juice that I drink every morning had a slight AntiFreeze tang to it:eek:. That would be orange MB coolant flavor.

I've just always figured she was 1/2 crazy.

No. Actually, this is just getting interesting. I just want to know why you want to stay with someone who wants to kill you. You got rid of the guns, so you must know she is capable of it.

If you will allow me to add that I once went out with a guy who wanted to suck my toes. I don't know what was wrong with him. After that statement, I did not bother with the fugitive method. I told him to piss off.

A daring thing to suggest, early on..... the guy's suggestion, that is.
