Just Bought 91' 300sl
Bought this car at a used car lot in a small rural town in Oregon! Has 140k miles on it with zero dings, dents, or a spec of rust.
Paid $2,400 for it and it's almost showroom condition, with a couple minor issues under the hood, like hard start. I've been passively looking for one for a couple of years and found it on Craig's List and grabbed it without even test driving it and drove it home. The dealer said he had it for six months and never had a single customer look at it, which I think is due to it being in a small rural hick town of 6,000 people out in the middle of nowhere. He showed me the invoice from the auction where he bought it and I paid more than $1,000 below what he paid for it. He just wanted it off his lot so he could put the money back into something that would have a quicker ROI. It's in such nice condition I wouldn't think twice about putting it in a local car show where I live.
