Looking at getting some fittipaldi formula wheels in 17 inch. Any pics of a c class out there on 17 with either the sport package or lowered as I consider either 17's or 18's. A pic of my car with these wheels would be the best but I really doubt I would find that pic out there. Any help or expiences would be helpful, I plan to lower it on H&R's and bilstein sports and am wondering with 17's if it would be enough and what tires would be the best to protect my rims and look good with not too much well space, etc...
thanks for any help
cavan

there is a fellow named Frans who has pics of his C230 posted on the Bekkers forum (www.bekkers.com). His car is lowerd with 18 inch monoblocks. Very nice job I might add.

I've got pics of the C36 with its 224/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear tires. Monoblocks and AMG suspension are, of course, built in. Drop me an email if you'd like to see them. The AMG drop is pretty mild compared to H&R.

Hope this helps...Lee

Noah,
Spring pads are stock. Have not messed with it. If I have to go into the suspension for something I probably will go thin as possible but until then I've got zero complaint with how it handles. (now if only it had 500E size muscle...) I suppose it could use more neg camber but don't want to go outside "spec"/factory adjustment as the car has a 100K bumper-bumper warranty to consider.

How about you? Ever tinker with the spring pads on yours?

Lee: No, my car is stock at this point. I did have the camber & caster moved to factory spec extremes but that's it.

Noah,
Are you finding you are still chewing up the outside shoulder significantly quicker even with toe-in set to min spec and as much neg camber as "spec" will allow? May have to dismount/remount the front S02PP's on a side to side swap to prevent a premature death. I've played with tire pressures a bit. Turn in is better with the pressures in the 37-40psi range. Gascap pressures do ride better but makes the car feel half asleep. What are you running for pressures?

Lee:

No, the fronts are wearing MUCH better with the 1 degree of neg camber and positive caster. and toe changes. I will likely remount the fronts (left to right) sometime this summer, just to even things out anyway. I love the RE71's and will by them again if i can find them.

Forgot to say i'm running 39psi all around on the street with good success but will goto 44 front / 42 rear for autocross, and see if that is high enough. With the conti's i needed 48 front (cold)!!!
