1974 114 CE V8 conversion

hi all,- greetings from Australia

would anyone have any info on swapping a pre 1978 450 into a 114 1974 280CE. I know the purists would convulse at the thought but the engine is very tired and i would like to take the opportunity to live my mid life crisis dream. I have completely rebuilt and refurbished the car and it looks fantastic but i have intentionally left the drive train alone in order to replace the engine. What i would like to source are the mounts both engine and transmission and any tech advice as to modifications to firewall and or chassis. I do think a ford windsor would be an easier conversion as they are smaller than the merc V8 and weigh only 30 odd pounds more than the 6 cylinder in the car now but that is my second option but if you have advice on a windsor conversion i would love to hear from you. hope to hear back soon
thanks in advance con ioannou brisbane australia
