Poor little E55

I do not own a MB hot rod, but I plan to once I finish grad school. One of the highlights of my day is in the morning going to work. Almost every morning on my way to work I see one of the finest examples of a Mercedes, a black E55. The owner lives near me. I ride with him for about three miles every morning. I once had him blow my doors off the 240D coming home late one night from Home Depot. That was truely beautiful being passed like I was in reverse. But today as ironicaly I was on my way to Leith Mercedes our local dealership, to get a bolt and spacer for the 240D's A/C compressor I saw a painful sight. On the right hand shoulder I saw a state trooper with lights flashing. As I though to myself "suck for you!" I saw the black E55. My heart was broken. Couldn't they pull over some rice burner and not the E55. I hope that he will use is extra 282 hp( 282 more than the 240D sloth), to one day pass me again and reverse the minute hand on my watch. I thought I would just share being that it hurt me to see such a sight. Although i shuold probably not get a MB hot rod being that I have to go to court next week for a ticket i got this summer.

...one has to pay for one's lack of intelligence...that is just the way our current society runs...

Good luck in court!...you can probably use it. I always figured that it was OK to drive fast as long as I could cough up the requested amounts of money...(NO, I am not very intelligent)...until I met the judge...

greetingz,

LoveLee143,

There is also a Silver E55 in Raleigh, and he too has been known to employ overzealous amounts of the right pedal.

PS
The trooper may have just been curious how 4000 lbs. could move so quickly. Stangely enough, most of those guys are car buffs too.

Poor little E55?

Not really, one makes choices and takes the consequences (be what they will).

I so desperately want a speeding ticket in a E55 AMG!

As soon as I find a new home for my 1998 E430 I too will be one of the lucky E55 drivers to see blue lights in the rear view mirror.

I do not normally speed, but the E55 will tempt me. Who could resist. I can't wait!

trooper car buffs

Heh heh... funny you mention the Trooper may have wanted to see how 2 tons moved so fast.

I was once pulled over in my ///M5 with a friend of mine on a backroad here in CT one Monday evening (our Troopers are ANYTHING but kindhearted or friendly). First words, no joke, he uttered upon approching my window...

"So? Showing off a little ///M Power this evening???"

Turned out he had a 535is and knew how easy they went fast. A brief verbal warning and I was on my way!
