I have started to get the tuning back in the ballpark. I have gained over 1.5lbs of boost in design efficiency. My intercooler is working much better also. Intake air temp is staying cooler.
I am running only 10 degrees of timing right now and it pulls super hard at full boost. Can not wait until I get the fuel dialed in and I can up the timing.

Looks good, nice and compact. I like the remote oil filter assembly.

Thank you, the oil filter will actually get mounted to the engine and have stainless pipes running from the back of the engine. I am going to mount it right in front next to the chain tensioner.

Very cool project. But the cooler - is it enough to keep the air cooled. How big is the water reservoir to the cooler you are using? Because in air/water cooler you shouldn’t use the same water twice during one run;1/4mile; or just hard acceleration.

Edit: PM sent.

The cooler is rated to around 450-500 hp. I think it can handle more like 600hp. I have almost no back pressure. I have no problems keeping the air cool. The reservoir I have now is around 2-3 gallons. The main thing I do is keep the water cool. I have a huge radiator for the system. My air temps are very low. I normally run around 10 degrees F above ambient under normal driving and will hit no more than 30 degrees above ambient under load.

I am running an Electromotive Tec3r standalone ecu. I know a guy who is running AEM also and still using the stock computers to control throttle and everything else. If you are going to go with boost on the 3.6; 4-6lbs is the most you can go before starting to have problems. The compression is higher and the headgaskets will not hold. 4lbs on the 3.6 will make some great power though. You could run a piggy back with additional injectors or a rising rate fuel pressure regulator for this amount. I have seen both done with the stock injection still intact.
If you want more boost then it is best to drop the 3.2l block in and put the 3.6 crank in and you end up with the 3.4l. The turbo 3.4l engines are putting out over 420whp at around 10-12 lbs of boost.
As you well know once you start it will never end. But if I were going to do a low boost kit for the 3.6 or any other I would just install a centrifugal blower with a air/water intercooler or maybe even just do water/meth injection.

Boosting the AMG will be tricky alright, not sure i am up to it yet.

but thanx any way, your kit looks so organized it makes things really simple

so any news on where your at with regards the supercharger kit. I think my '93 cabriolet would be pretty special here in Aus with one of these on it. Mine has the optional 722503 non computer controlled 5 speed auto and 3.69 diff so 300rwhp should make it fast enough. Can you use the factory HFM throttle body and computer on this system? that way I can keep the cruise control. Have you worked out a kit price yet?

Is the Supercharger kit available yet?

Have been reading with great interest about the supercharged 320. I agree about the instant boost the supercharger gives over a turbo and that is what counts in real world driving. I thing my 320CE Cabriolet with 722503 5 speed (non computer) auto and 3.69:1 diff would hammer with 300rwhp. it would certainly be special here in Australia. Will the system work with the factory HFM throttle body and computer? This would be good so I can keep the cruise control which is incorperated in the electric throttle actuator? Have you come up with a kit price yet?

you're going to want to have the .5 auto re-worked...it will NOT hold up to the power a kit such as this will produce!
They like to grenade under standard loads w/ utter regularity.

Well first I have to agree with Jonathan that the 722.5 will not handle the power. You could go back to the 722.3 without overdrive or upgrade to the 722.6 as I did. As far as price goes I have to say it is not cheap as everything is made by me and the components actually cost a lot of money. I would say for a copy of what I have made minus a tuning solution would cost somewhere around $7,000 dollars. This would include a supercharger with drive snout and intercooler and water pump, and the custom intake manifold. As far as tuning goes you would have to go with a standalone or a piggyback system. You could run lower horsepower with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
Please feel ask more questions. Going with a turbo system would cost close to the same amount. I am not saying it can not be done cheaper but if your goal is high horsepower then not really.
