M120 Kit Car 8 Pots & 9.5" ML Alloys
Hi Guys,
As you may know I am currently building an M120 based Kit car I thought I would show you my current wheels and brakes. The Alloys are from an ML, they are 18 x 9.5" and I am using SL55 Brembo 8 pots calipers and 360mm discs all onto a Ford granada hub (5x112). The hubs did need a spigot bearing to get a 100% fit as the bore was slightly to big. The calipers required a new bracket to be made, which was cut from 1" thick bar then cut and ground accordingly. |

Mine is currently in powder coat. The gearbox it a Ford T5. There are some old pics of the chassis and the company demonstrator on an M120 Megasquirt post, ive decided to do mine in Mercedes brilliant silver.
How do you re-post pics? It won`t let me as I have already posted them on a previous post. Last edited by StuartBJ; 04-06-2010 at 10:13 AM. |

You cant re post a picture unless you change the file name. Keep this thread alive with your progress.

So current progress....the Chassis is back from Powder Coat (finally) and the engine and gearbox/diff etc are all in + all the suspension, fuel tank etc. I have removed the original stepper motor TB`s and replaced them with universal 80mm TB`s. The universal TB`s came with an adapter plate which was welded onto the original manifold. I`ve wired up the megasquirt and have begun preliminary mapping settings but as of yet havn`t fired her up yet....still need to plumb in the fuel pump and rig up the new cooling system...oh and charge up and fit the battery (which might help). I have some holiday left over and towards the end of next month will have a good 2 weeks on her doing the brake pipes/wiring and piping (water fuel) and all the other fidderly bits. Pics to follow.
