I called a guy about a v12 jag today and had a very interesting conversation. We got talking and he mentioned that he could sell me a 5 speed manual conversion kit for the Jag for $4500 which will completely transform the car.

The kit includes everything to convert the car into a 5 speed including the electronics for the tach, speedo etc.

We got talking and I asked if he has seen any interest from MB owners for a similar conversion. He told me that he's looking at doing some conversion for the pagoda body guys and would consider a running a cost analysis for building a 5 speed conversion for the M117 if I could get 20 people together who would be willing to commit to buying these kits.
