I am using RC injection for the fuel injectors and Electromotive for the stand-alone fuel management.

did you buy all of your sensors from electromotive because it sounds like they arn't going to be compatible with the mercedes benz sensors.

What engine are you using?

I have used the SDS, Electromotive, Haltech & Accel DFI.
and butcherized some Factory Japanese FI to work on other cars.

What engine are you planning to put this on? and what performance add-ons are you installing?

Is this a budget $ or Skys-the-limit $$$ deal?

This is going on a M103 300E 6cy engine. The engine has twin turbos on it, compression raised to 9.5, headwork, intake work..bla bla bla. I need the unit to be able to control the engine and both wastegates atleast but i would really like more options. This is not a budget project at all but i would like recomendations for both expensive and cheaper products. Haltech has always seemed really expensive and more racing applied than for a street car.

I have installed a SLK supercharger on my 2.3-16 and installed the SDS engine management syste. This system came complete with all of the sensors (except O2). I would catagorize it as a budget system that lacks sophistication but works OK. I had serious problems with throttle binding at 5+ psi boost and finally converted from the Mercedes throttle body to a Mustang 5.0 TB. Be sure to install a fuel/air ratio gauge to monitor performance. The more expensive systems utilize a laptop for programing and provide data logging to review performance (very useful).

Once i am completely finished, i will either put a web site together or i will just put a nice long post up on the boards here for everyone to read. But this really isn't a cheap project, so it is going to take me sometime. For my age, i don't have a lot of income and you guys wouldn't take me seriously if i told you how old i was..hehe. Also when i finish, ill bring it down to the shop for you guys to have a look at because i do live here in atlanta.

EFI

A lot of friends here are using Autronic. But you almost have to be a wiz to tune it. Same goes for Electromotive. SDS is what it says Simple Digital System. You can program it yourself. They will even give you parameters to get the car started. As with any EFI the wiring is important. I have seen "kids" say this is junk and that is junk and when we finally see their car....nightmare!
Wires twisted together then masking tape! or wire nuts. 18 gauge wire for the main input wires to the unit, when it should be 10 gauge. Try to see the someone elses installation before you make judgement about what they are saying is good and bad.

The SDS is simple and uses basic GM/Ford sensors which are good and reliable. Go to their website and read up on it.
If youve got a laptop and some tuning experience then go with the DFI or Autronic or Electromotive.

I am in the process of Turbocharging my 190e 2.3 and I will be using a SDS to add more fuel under boost. I will leave the CIS
system in tact. I have modified the CIS systems before to work with turbo but it takes too much fiddling to get the right air/fuel ratio.
