I finally found my 500E!
After 5 months of looking, I finally found a 500E that fit all of my criteria. It is a 92, w/96,000 miles, has all the service records and quite a few repair records. It has had three owners, but the last one was very fastidious in keeping the car up, both mechanically and cosmetically. It has 17" AMG wheels, a Renntech chip, and K and N filter. Those are the only upgrades, except for the stereo.
I have never seen the car! I had to rely on someone who looked at it for me, the local MB dealer who did the PPI, and extensive conversations with the owner. It will be shipped on Monday, andhopefully I will have it in a week. I was able to get a Heritage warranty for two years-I know they aren't the best, but I've seen how much $$$ repairs can go, and if it will save me some $$, well, then... I'm so excited!!! Hopefully, this won't jinx the deal. The title has been mailed to me; should be here tomorrow. Thanks, everyone, for all the help!! Tom

Let me be the first to say CONGRATULTIONS!!! .  As the owner of a "new" 500e myself, i know the excitement that you must be feeling. Rest assured that when you see that baby for the very first time, it'll be a most memorable experience. I liken it to the jubilation I had at the birth of my kids...Kind of. ("I said kind of KIND OF Honey, not exactly!)  Now that its a done deal, Give us some STATS

Congrats on the new toy!
I can't say enough about how fun these cars are to drive. I just recently realized how great the car performs on twisty two lane back roads. You'll see soon enough! By the way what color and how about some pics?

Oh boy, it's that X-mas feeling all over again! Glad to hear of the new arrival, next you will have to prepare for the strange affliction which sometimes affects 500E/E500 owner's, PERMA-GRIN! And as always, we need the pic's.

Good things happens,
To those who wait!Theres one guy I know,a family
friend who owns a 94 E500 w/72k on the clock. He owns the car since new.Silver.Bone stock. He is in trouble w/the law and awaiting deportation procedures.He gave me the first priority to have the car,if he lost the court battle and sent back to Europe.I can wait.So as my cousin who will going to buy my E420. Congrats Tom,It finally happened.
