I seem to see more 500Es than anyone else on MSS. Today, while parked on the main street of my little burg, (Larkspur, CA), making a cell phone call, pearl black 500Es went past within three minutes of each other. One of them I have seen around town, becasue it is mis-badged E500, the same as mine, while the other was one I have never seen before. As I have mentioned, there is at least one other one in town besides mine, a green 500E owned by a Russian woman.
So now this makes three in the neighborhood, assuming the other pearl black was just paassing through.
Not bad for a town of 10,000. Of course, it is in the richest county in the richest state in the richest country in the world.

In Marin County and San Francisco, (not counting out Marin GTG), I've seen at least 12-15 500E/E500s.

Besides Shanta's, I've only seen 1 other 500E/E500 in the East Bay (in the past 26 months).

I have seen a 92 500E at my local dealership. I was in picking up parts and everyone was trippin about seeing not 1 but 2 500's in the same day

I just came back from a B-trip in London ... spotted a '94 E500, Silver and Black Leather ... okay condition ... appeared stock, parked near Bond Street.

But I did see 2 Red 360 Coupes, 2 Red 355 Spyders, a Light Blue Diablo, a Green Lotus Elise (way fast Go Kart!), countless Bentleys / Rolls, a W140 S600, and countless current build S Classes ... mostly Silver. Oh, and a Black Stretch E-Class Limo (W210).

I see at least one 500E a week. There are at least 5 of them in my neighborhood (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA), some of them from fellow members of this forum: Daesun, Mark Stetson, Guido...

Two weeks ago I saw one Black 500E in Paris, one silver E500 at Mannheim and one white 500E at Frankfurt.

Doesn't matter how much I open my eyes, I can't see one in my garage still

I think there is an abnormal concentration of 500Es in my area. As Hi-Power mentioned, Guido, Mark Stetson, and I are a stone's throw from one another, and there are at least two others in the vicinity that I've run across multiple times during the course of my daily commute. Doug Kinney is in Redondo, if he still has his.

About a year ago, when I was still in Redondo, I was making a quick run to the grocery store when I spotted a silver '94 on 17" AMGs pulling into the parking lot. I approached the owner and we exchanged pleasantries, but alas I had arrived in my ex-GF's car, so I couldn't show off my example.

The worst sighting was when I was at a Japanese restaurant on my lunch break, and there was a '92/93 in the lot. It was pretty neglected but unmistakably a 500. The driver was in the car, so I tried to make small talk with him, but it turned out to be some high school kid who obviously had no clue what he was rolling around in. I had the urge to slap him and take the car away so I could find her a new home in the hands of an enthusiast.
