Go to the dealer. he can order them for you if he doesn't have them in stock. Ask for Dot1 pads.

How much the car can be lowered depends on the spring pads that are in the car now. There are little bumps(tits) on the edge of every spring rubber, the # relates to the thickness. look at the top of the spring & see how many bumps are there

how much would lower pads cost for a 1995 C36?

is this also Dot1 pads? i guess these pads are 10 mm shorter to lower the car 1" in the front..and may 9 mm to lower he car .75" in the rear?

MB uses rubber spring pads in between the spring and their upper mounts - as mentioned above the dots on the pad indicate their thickness... 1 being the thinnest, 4 being the thickest, and they are available at low cost from the dealer (~CAN$6 each). Since they range from 6mm to 16mm (or is it 18mm?) the difference you would find is really only a maximum of 10mm, that is, if you have the thickest pads to begin with (you can check this in your driveway without removing the wheel). I don't think the 10mm max lowering is worth the labour - especially since there is basically no performance enhancement (marginally lower center of gravity, I suppose...).
I replaced my pads with the thinnest ones available when installing Eibach springs and eventually switched back to the older pads to avoid camber/tire interference problems.

I just did it to my car 2 weeks ago. I went from 2 nipples up front to 1 nipple and 3 nipples in back to 1 nipple. You can barely tell. Front isnt changed at all and the back was droppped maybe a 1/2 inch.
