Being a euro it also has the sport/economy (E/S) switch. In sport mode it allows for more crisp, aggressive shifts.

I have parts from 2 126 wrecks that I cut up left. One was from a 1988 SEC, the other from a 1990 SEL.

rear subframe - from both cars
rear axles - from SEL
rear differential - from 300SEL...

Swapping out an entire interior is a lot of work if done right. I'm finishing up one now, and both were gen2 cars, but one was early gen2 (1986), the other later gen2 (1990). There are differences....

Lots of zebrano pieces from a gen2 SEL. Rear door wood is for SEL only. Front doors works on short or long wheelbase sedans, dash wood works on all sedans or coupes. Have all pieces except shifter...

I've got wheels for a 126, they came off SECs or SELs, I assume they fit the SL too but you may want to check. If so, I have a bunch to choose from, and I'm in southeast PA, western suburbs...

1. MB recommends towing flatbed
2. if can't do #1, tow with 4 wheels on the ground...

Anyone here know how to tow an R class? Not tow with, but actually have it towed, as in behind something, like a motorhome. Trying to understand if there are easy ways or not to do so. Thanks.
