Remove the gas tank cap...

to relieve pressure. Do not do it indoors unless it is a very well ventilated area. Do not ask me how I know...;)

It sounds like the OVP...

Hopefully, it is just the fuse. Look behind the battery compartment or do a search uncer OVP. Fairly commmon problem. specially, if you have been playing with the electrical system.

Are you sure is the motor...?

124 are notorious for having the wire on the rear door jams damaged due to regular use. It happened to me....Worth to try.

Worse comes to worse...

Remove the left A/C vent and push the cluster from behind...Probably nobody has ever removed the cluster before...After the first time, it will be a lot easier to remove.

The symptoms you described originally...

are typical (in my limited experience) of a bad OVP. I hope other people read this thread and try the OVP first. I know the OVP gets blaimed for a lot of things but, this is typical.

It sounds like...

the brushes in the fan motor are too short or not making contact. Since you already checked the cc unit, you have to remove the blower and look. There is a DIY link under resources on top of this...

Pump side...

Worse comes to worse, you can replace the pump. You do not even need 1/2 inch, may be a 1/4 inch. Do a search...I am sure I posted something about it.
