Job done.
All MB bits finally arrived (plastic washer on other side of bush had to come from Germany)... rebuilt the coupling as per the parts manual bits and nice tight fit. Drives like a new one...:)

I'm surprised that your 111 has a 3.69 ratio. My 71 350SL 3.5 is 3.46 ratio as are all 108/109 3.5 V8s of that time...or that's what I thought. So maybe a 3.46 could be a nice minor change.

My 71 350SL with the same K4A040 shifts similar too. Actually, no matter what throttle position, it doesn't seem to alter change speeds much, unless I hit the kickdown switch.
