I have been unable to locate a replacement engine wiring harness for my 1992 300TE. Does anyone have advice about replacing with a universal kit? What are the pitfalls here?

The accelerator lever at the floor has a plastic bracket that hooks into the pedal. My plastic bracket broke off. Where do I get a replacement?
