thanks that is what I figured, no intention of mixing, but sounds like I need to evacuate and start over. No $$ now so will stay hot for awhile longer. Heater works good and fall is only 3 months...

I think I had the R12, then someone in the past used the compatible stuff - good for mixing ( wonder if that was true) anyway now I need to add refrigerant? Is there a product that is compatible...
