I have noticed that since my alda removal I have started nailing, or pinging. could this be somehow related? I dont hear it under heavy accelleration. but it is very noticable while maintaining low...

just out of curiosity, is your tach still working? When i first got my 87 SDL the tach was not working and it was not idling right. my over voltage protection fuse went out which dropped the tach...
