yes, they need to be removed and tested to verify. if they check out i suppose that leaves the valve seals. but i would not expect valve seals to cause any misfiring... just smoke.

btw an engine with that mileage i would also as noted above stick with heavier oil, rotella 15w40. this could have contributed to the turbo failure imho...too. i am not too convinced that the...

light blue could be injectors dribbling. have they been tested for correct spray and release action?
