You need the special tool(socket) for the IPs...

You need the special tool(socket) for the IPs pressure valves.
I watched the mechanic do it and it looks very simple, once the valve comes out there is a spring inside with 1 washer or something...

I forgot to mention that I used one bottle of LM...

I forgot to mention that I used one bottle of LM DIESEL PURGE that made NO difference in smoke or idle running

I finally got the car I always wanted, 87 300SDL.
The car has some minor problems ( I think).
It had a bad noise in the engine ONLY when hot and between 1200 and about 2K RPM. Replaced the belt...
