You don't have to pulll it to install the new...

You don't have to pulll it to install the new O-ring. You just remove the snap washer, install the O-ring and reinstall the snap washer. It would be easier without stitches.

You don't need to rebuild it unless you consider replacing the O-ring rebuilding it. It is a common repair. I will see if I can find the part number for you, but don't hold your breath. I'm in VT...
