fuel hose might be ok, but I don't know about the iso 46 reactivity to the fuel rated rubber...

find a 79 TD and steal the hose connectors from it!
they don't use check balls or whatever, they have a long perforated hose in the end of the center piece and it fits easy into the 6G2 hose....

fyi, my hose from an 80 TD did not have any doohickies in the hose, the pump end of the hose had a long plastic perforated tube attached to the end of the fitting.

I just rebuilt the hoses on my 79TD, the line side of the hose had a 30" black perforated hose connected to the inside end of it. there were no balls or baffles in the hose.
assembly went smoothly....

NAPA sells (250PSI) hydrolic hose for around 2.50/foot. I used the 3/8 (9.5MM) hose it works great, and is very very easy to install.

it was a MAJOR pita to get the center part back in... I just cut the leaking part off, and put it all back together... there is quite a bit of extra hose here....
