Oh my, I can't believe I was that silly. As I was looking at the starter I had placed the junction box wire in front of the batt. wire. AND it wasn't tight. All this paint and suffering for nothing....

Well The battery cable to the starter was pretty corroded and I had to go to the auto part store anyhow (Oil Change). So I picked up a nice thick red cable. Got home Started draining the oil and...
