Don't take this the wrong way, but I have always had difficulty understanding how anyone that spends >$50k for a vehicle can complain about spending $20 v. $10 for oil?. Engine work down the road...

I assume you meant to state: "I was under the impression that you could NOT change after running regular oil.."

If so, it is not a problem and you have nothing to worry about assuming the engine...
