Switches work sometimes, not others, may need cleaning, or replacing.
FSM's available at mbusa.com
Switches are NOT vac controlled, electrical.
Try and find benz lover, he lives in BC also.

Good luck finding those, I use the plastic bodied, looks like copper for the metal, haven't had a problem. I replace all fuses with these whenever I get a different car, I'm funny that way!
