I just reread post #1, i was think (and that is bad :o) the engine still ran when key turned off. DUHHHH.

Could be the tumbler has failed, and not the steering lock assembly. or could be both....

It is a driver inconvenience in pouring down rain...

As you probably know it takes vacuum to kill the engine. either the fuel shut off at the rear...
