That's true. Have you ever heard a turbo rotary versus a NA rotary, both without muffler? The one without the turbo will make your ears bleed.

I have basically no exhaust pipe on my SD. It's probably two feet long after the turbo. I've been driving it like that for a couple of years. It's a little louder, but not bad.
