Thanks! Will try filters. Shut-off is sporadic as well. Can switch/valve at ignition also be the cause? Is it easy to check/replace?

Would fuel filter cause intermittent behavior? What about shut-off not fully coming back to start position?

Inherited this car 124.193 chassis with 603.960 motor with 134K miles on it from my dad. He bought it in 2000 with 110K miles on it so its been sitting awhile.
