123 trans is in. Didn't swap the tails yet, just get it back on the road. 123 trans appears to have many newer parts, including the b2 piston upgrade. Someone went through it or had been rebuilt....

Only way to get the nut off will be to cut it....

Only way to get the nut off will be to cut it. The four sides to the nut have been almost totally chiseled away. Almost round.

Pulled the b2 piston, it was broken. Installed one out of the 123 transmission. Had drive, now nothing. I pulled it apart three times. It is seated properly. Compared to the 123 trans, the b2 band...

I'm on my mobile, forum search doesnt work well. any good links on the b2 piston? In a pinch, can I just swap it out of the 123 trans to see if it works?

The car is a turbo 617, but i believe you may be right about the speedo. Can it be converted? The trans is free, so the price is right. Speed is intermittant at best right now. I use a GPS speedo app.

Just lost first gear on my way into work. Slipping under any sort of throttle. Have to go very lightly to get it to move. All other gears ok. Oil is ok. driveline is ok. trans is kaput.
