I'll do that tomorrow, and try to get a picture. This just cannot be correct. There is nothing but sheer luck that is keeping the tensioner in place.

The tensioner is wedged between the pin and the chain, in the correct orientation, but the tensioner is not seated on the pin, one edge of the circular part that goes over the pin is sitting on top...
