The cassete player is part of the radio, which can be removed using the tools. Make shure you have the codes, when you pull out the radio a wire automatically disconnects and has to be put back on. Thge radio needs to be unlocked by entering the code.
If you want to remove the wooden panels there are two styles pre and post 95. The pre are removed by taking out the ash tray insert, loosening the cover and sliding up and away. The upper and lower are two piece and held together by two lateral torx screws that are acessible thru the ash tray opening (lateral torx) once they are out the bottom panel is pivoted up from the ash tray side and pulled forward (catch on console armrest side)
The upper panel is removed by removing the two screws in the radio opening (remove radio) and I think two screws at the base in ash tray opening. That panel pivots forward and pulls down.
The pre 95 radio is a two piece affair with the cassette/control in the front and the tuner in the trunk, along with the Bose amp, and CD if you got it.
