Are you obsessed with MB diesels?

Are you obsessed with MB diesels?
Do you keep a log book that even NASA would envy?
Do you go for a long drive; just to hear the clatter?
Do you love the smell of your MB diesel in the morning?
Do you get obsessive about calculating your mileage?
Maybe it is time to join

MB Diesel Owner’s Anonymous

Where you can pretend to get help while.
Sharing your obsession with other MB diesels owners.
Swapping copies of your log books so other MB diesels owners can admire them.
Go for long drives with other MB diesels owners; just to hear the mass group clatter.
Get together for morning coffee clatter and smoke em meetings with other MB diesels owners.

YA, YA, I know, not real.
Blast it, I can dream, cant I????????

Why dream? Being a master mechanic, you have got status any man would want. I bet it would be no challenge for you to setup a "MB Diesel Owner’s Anonymous?

I am hooked!

I am hooked! I have said it many times, but my Diesel addiction started only a few months ago. I moved from some pretty expensive metal!

I love MB Diesels...I now have a 240D that words alone cannnot describe my obsession! One day, I do want to sit down and write a Post about my 240D experience...that would require free time and most of my free time is spent with my 240D....so, the post will wait!!!!

As a voluntary non-driver for 20 years, with bio fuels getting available, and Mercedes being perfect for running on them, it's the only car I've gotten interested in.

My neighbors, family, church, mom, volleyball team, partners at work, etc, think I'm obsessed but I think I'm perfectly balanced.

The nine MB diesels that I own pale in comparison to a guy up the road with 26. I'm so glad to have met him.

My user name and signiture say it all... I've had many cars in the last 4 years, from expensive sports cars to regular cars to MB diesels. The MB diesels are the only ones who've caught my long-term interest. I'm hooked!

Cool Am I obsessed? Absolutely!

But it's not just MB diesels... it's diesels in general. I do love my Mercedes-Benz though, it's a wonderful car!

Am I an addict? Absolutely not! Addicts go to meetings.

...
Although this place does count as a support group... so... maybe I am addicted.

Step one — I admitted I was powerless over the effects of compression-ignition engines and my life had become unmanageable.

well, I do have one gasser, the 230e 123 body that I am trying to sell (canada (euro?)spec) 4 speed manual. hint hint.
And I got that 123 I bought 4 years ago.
And the parts carcass I got 3 years ago for the motor.
And I am flying to NC in two days to buy an SDL.
And I would like to get a 300TD so's I can get rid of the Grand Voyager, but I would not call it a problem or addiction.
Saaaaaayyyyy, what is the toll free number for that group?

Okay, here's the next question...at what age did you become obsessed?

I got the diesel obsession at age 15, although I didn't discover M-B's 'till I was 21...

And I will say this - to be addicted, I have to admit that I have a problem. I DON'T!! To me, tihs is perfectly natural behavior...it's those g@$$er people who are nuts

I remember sitting at the front of the school bus in elementary school just so that I could listen to the sound of the diesel engine. I think I became obsessed at a very early age.
