Just made some minor purchases today from my local MBZ dealer. I thought the items would be too small a purchase to incur the shipping costs if ordered through PartsShop or other catalog/internet sources. However, given the incredible markup of the items (approx. five times the price of other sources)I could have paid shipping and still been significantly less than what I paid at the parts shop of the dealer. The bottom line is that PartsShop can save the frugal MBZ owner $$$. I have purchased some items from the PartsShop in the past and expect to purchase more in the future.

Thanks, Crowe, for the kind words!
The whole trick to saving money when ordering from PartsShop is to order several items rather than just one or two. For example, the shipping cost for one air filter is about the same as for three. UPS really kills you if you place a small order because you get hit with minimum charges.
