new cruise amp 87 300e bridge wires?

Are there any installation notes from the application guide, or that should have been included in the box with the replacement VDO cruise control amp that I just bought from the PartsShop?

I noted in the service CD rom, there may have to be an alteration to the connector. So far, the cruise doesn't work. A diagnosis was done at the dealer a few months ago that indicated all else was OK.
