The site has definately lost its ZIP. For about three weeks now, it just seems to take an eternity to browse around the site, and I've got a cable-modem. I can't imagine it at 28.8!

Are there any plans for an upgrade? As good as any site is, a decrease in performance can mean a decrease in visitors, which to your advertisers means a decrease in viewings of its ads.

We couldn't agree more.
The slowdown is agonizing and the downtime this week has been totally unacceptable. We have been looking for the right server to move to. This is not something to take lightly, however. It is very difficult and time consuming to move from one server to another. Getting all of the software moved to a new platform and configured properly takes hours and often days. It's sort of like moving to a new house. We want to make sure we pick a server we can live with for a long time!

The easy part is finding the hardware platform. The hard part is finding a server farm with multiple VERY fast connections to the internet, power backups, 7-24 service and technicians who understand the applications you are running and can really help keep the system running top notch. Our new server will have access to 2-OC 3's and 2-OC 12's all connected to 4 OC-192's.

Here's a link to our new network.

We plan to make the move to our new server either this weekend or next.
