Removing spam or illegal activity accounts

Removing spam or illegal activity accounts

How many strikes do the spammers get before their account gets removed?

That depends on whether you stick to the car sub-forums or venture in to the "Off Topic" toilet

Well the whole damn forum is flooded with political nonsense. They should leave that crap for the news and Facebook groups. Every time I click “new posts” 90% of that is political garbage.

Skip the "New Posts" button and just view the forum. It'll show what threads have new activity since you last viewed it and keeps you out of the dumpster fire that is the "OT" section.

Agreed. They really should shut down the political forum. I know it’s driven people like me away from what was once a great resource for these cars and I’m also not giving Pelican another dime for any parts as long as they let it last.

It's discouraging to see how the moderator team is allowing spammers to run around unchecked. 11 out of 40 threads on Diesel Discussion's 1st page are spam from one member. I reported the offending account 3 or 4 days ago and the posts are still up. You also have to wait every 60 seconds between each spam report. I'm not going to waste 11 minutes of my time reporting 11 separate threads for spam when the moderators should be on the job deleting spam accounts.

This feels like a dying shopping mall where it's still active, but it's not as heavily populated as before because people have moved on to online shopping, or in this case, various Facebook Groups for MBs. There's good stores, but you can see the signs of deferred maintenance and lack of care.

Support a sitting President from the wrong party, you get banned. Sell illegals counterfeit birth certificates and drivers licenses, more than welcome here.
