Rear End Thunk

1982 380SL 127,000 mile

I have a thunk in the right rear when I shift into drive or reverse as the geometry shifts in the back. This doesn't happen all the time.

Any ideas/Thoughts?

Thank you.

Jim

Rear End Thunk

From your description, I suggest you check your drive shaft rubber flex couplings. They are located on each end of your driveshaft. They need to be replaced periodically. Regards
