Steering Damper replacement on a 1983 380 SL

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me how to remove the steering damper in my 1983 380 SL? If its a big deal I will have it done by a mechanic.

Thanks

If I recall corectly all you have to do is jack the driver's side front corner of the car to extend the damper (shock), unbolt the old and replace with the new.

Mine was so beat that I didn't even have to extend totally.

Don't forget to use a jackstand.
