88 560 sl aux fan

ok, another stupid question, but when should the aux fan come on, and what happens if it does not work?

It should come on at low speed with the AC on and then at high speed whenever the temp reaches a preset point. I forgot the temperature that it goes to high speed.

If it doesn't come on I have an engine for sale on E-bay for you. Just keep driving until it blows up.

aux fan will not come on when a/c on, check fuse its ok, and hooked the fan up to my battery charger and it worked, any other suggestions?

ok, let car warm up and aux fan came on at about 80 degrees, than turn a/c off and it stop, turned a/c back on and it would not come on, checked voltage at fan connetor and no volts, is there a relay some where in the system that could be weak?

There are two relays behind the glove box see the Sticky "Component Pictures" there ism also a resistor by the right front of the radiator and switches on the receiver drier.

I jumped the switch on the reciever dryer and fan came on, what does the resistor do? mine is all cracked up. switched the two relays around and still can`t get the fan on low speed when a/c is on.
