129 Accessory Equipment Block

I bought a pair of seats for my SL500, and they are heated. So I am farting around figuring out how to install the harness, control unit, switches, etc. to make them work. In the course of this, I came upon something interesting.

Down in the driver's footwell by the emergency brake there is a connector called the "accessory equipment block." It is used to power optional equipment. It has five "slots" with the following circuits:

30 - hot at all times
15 - hot with ignition on
31 - ground
15R - hot with key inserted in ignition
58D - illumination (hot with lights on, I think)

Looks like each of the "slots" goes to a separate fuse for 30.

So if you are installing something like and need one or more of these inputs, this might be a good place to make a connection.

I will post a picture if I ever get to the point of hooking up my seat heaters.
