Removing Air Distribution Tubes from Injectors

I just took a look at the right cylinder bank on my 380sl, prior to ordering the parts to replace my injector insulator and seals, and I noticed that the air distribution tube that Strife mentioned in my other thread is right up against the valve cover.

So, I was wondering if that tube can somehow be removed from the injectors without removing the valve cover, considering that it's an MB branded tube, and it was replaced 5 years ago. The reason I don't want to fool with the valve cover is that I only recently managed to get its gasket to stop leaking, and I'd rather not have to take it off if possible. OTOH, if that's the only way to safely remove the tube, I guess I'll have to remove the valve cover, too.

Thanks in advance the additional advice.

Thank you, whunter. The problem is that I have that manual, and it doesn't say whether it's necessary to remove the valve cover or, for that matter, the air distribution hose to get the injector sleeves out, and I'm almost certain that one or both of those things have to be removed to do that.

OTOH, the manual does say under "Installation" to "detach cylinder head cover if necessary," which is why I was wondering if anyone here found it necessary to do that to replace the injector holders.

Although I did this job once before, I did it as part of a valve job. So, the valve covers were off, and pulling the air hoses, injector sleeves, and injectors was easy.

However, thanks again for the response.
