yay-passed inspection- now what do these numbers mean?!
sorry, just had to share as I was biting my nails all day waiting for my PA inspection test result.
the results were: CO 0.06 (limit 1.10) HC 75 (limit 275) NO 441 (limit 3600) dilution 8.1% anyone care to enlighten me on the meanings of these numbers and what they say (if anything much) about the car? cheers

It means, simply put, your engine, emission controls & catalytic converter are working really well.
To simplify: CO is directly related to fuel/air mixture, HC readings ( if high ) usually indicate ignition or oil-burning problems, NOX is directly related to the EGR ( exhaust gas recirculation ) valve on an engine. As I said above, these are as close as I can come to translating your readings into layman's terms.
