Replaced electrical as suggested.
After peforming diagnostics as suggested: 1.Compression test (lowest cylinder 152lbs, highest 175-180) 2.Spark test with engine running (all 8 cylinders seem to be firing)(pulled wires off 1 at a time and could definetly tell difference, no dead cylinders) Car still seems that it is flooding, or "loading up with gas) The new plugs when taken out for compression test all looked the same, Smutty Black!!! Car seems to smooth out after about 50 mph but still has little power. I have run it up to about 80mph but still seems sluggish. Can anyone help? |

If the catalytic converter starts to clog, it will have the same problems you are seeing. I would have this checked.
I have replaced a handfull of them this year. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 300E ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM OWNER OF MB AUTOWERKS .COM |
