Hello to all. I'm new on this list. I have a '91 30TE 4matic that occasionally drops ball bearings out of the front pass seat bottom. Has anyone ever BTDT and can you advise on best repair? The manuals don't go to this level of detail.
Thanks, Mike Yox |

I do know that the seats move on ball bearings.I have never seen a seat bearing go bad,but it could happen.Remove the seat and I believe you will be able to see your problem. If the bearing is falling apart, get one from a local bearing dealer. The bearing will have a number in its side, and will be a common size.Mercedes does not make ball bearings,so save your money.Get one from bearing store.

Thanks, Bill. I have saved the bearings that popped out, there still good. I'll tear into the seat when I get a chance. Mike Yox
