ABS Pump Replacement?

Just got back from an A service with a break fluid replacement (E430) at a MB dealership and they told me that there was a very slight leak from the ABS pump when the system was under pressure and that replacing the pump would cost $1,350. They said that the worst case scenario would be complete break failure under extreme use (and that they did not want to alarm me...right). They did not push me to have it replaced but I am concerned and wanted to see if any in this forum had feedback. They said it does not appear to leak under normal circumstances.

Solution

Well the pump was bad and had it replaced for about $1300 at an authorized MBD. Had the good luck of purchasing an extended warranty and the whole operation cost $100 for the deductible. The dealer provided a free MB (c class) loaner.
