W124 (1993 500E) bulb-out module
Can the exterior lamp-monitor module (N7), aka "bulb-out" module, cause
NO power to an individual tail-lamp on a W124 1993 500E ? My right-rear tail-light shows no voltage on my FLUKE DVOM. I've switched out bulbs and they both test fine, and all other tail-lights/running lights also work. I cleaned all connections with a SCOTCH-BRITE pad and then with some DeOxIt. The schematic shows it going to pin#10 of N7, but from there it is a BLACK HOLE (no schematic for N7 that I can find). TIA, :-) neil 1988 E36T AMG 1993 500E |

Yes, the lamp control module is ultimately responsible for providing power to all monitored bulbs. I had a 124 once that had ONE inop license plate light, found out each one is supplied power individually by N7. Used a scotch-lok inside the fusebox to jumper the 1 circuit to power up both bulbs. Owner happy.
