I know these things have been discussed some but I wanted to apply the responses to my situation. I am looking to move up from my 300GE (M103) to a '95 G320 (M104). If the headgasket were to fail what is the typical cost of the repair? Is the wiring harness problem limited to W124 cars or could it affect a Gwagen, W140 or even an SL320? I am a little torn on what to do, the M103 is definately one of my favorite MB engines, a little light on oomph but solid. Do I dare trust the 104? I am very curious to know what the potential replacement of the gasket would cost.
