its extremely easy,, behind the markers (under the hood), there is a large tab.
push this protruding tab and they will pop right out!
i don't know any part no.'s though, i bought mine on e-bay. they look great. some people think they are not as good as stock though.
good luck,
adam

oops!, sorry, there is also a nylon screw that can be loosened by hand on this tab.
loosen it first.

ebenz,

I'll be going through with the euro light upgrade this coming spring after a brutal Canadian winter. I love the look of the euro lights along with increased safety that comes with the greater night vision. It is true what people say about taking 10 years off the look of a 124 or 201 series after taking out the substandard DOT lights and putting in the flush euros and clear side markers. The side markers will just add to the overall look of the new lights and bring increased safety during night time driving. I do know you'll need to coat the areas you punch through the sheet metal with silicone to protect against rust. Also take extra care when wiring and make sure your tapping into the indicator relay not the parking lamp relay. Good luck with everything!

hey everyone,i'm sorry i was vague on the type of side markers.i have the clear turn signals.

the pieces i want are behind the front wheels
on the fender just above the cladding.
on the newer w124's they are clear, the earlier euros were amber.

When converting to Euro headlights, do the headlight wipers go or can I leave them in place. Any tips on installation?

hey ernz,

the us wipers are history, also the fascia plate[unless you like the holes looking at you].i waited a week after the install to get my freshly painted new flat plates back.it looked like sh*%.for about $200 you can get the euro wipers.they are sweet.you may have seen a 94/95 w124 w wipers. since this car is [haha]my wife's we'll eventually go this route.
the us wiper/headlight concept was really kind of a dirty trick, the thought was nice but the lights SUCK.
the euro light conversion is a must for any serious [early] w124 owner.
thanx for response

ps
sorry i rambling...
get a experienced pro or mb garage to do it.
my local dealer wanted $185 to do it. i found a man who has done a lot of them, it cost me $100.
make sure you have the "city lights" hooked up.they really add to the effect and they are truly european.
